FCRF's Pioneering Role in Ensuring a Cyber-Safe India

Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF) is an IIT Kanpur incubated Start-Up (Non-Profit NGO) specializing in Research in Cyber Security, Digital Crime, Fraud Risk Management, Cyber Laws and Cyber Forensics. FCRF is also registered under Section 8 of The Companies Act, 2013 and Section 12A and 80G of The Income Tax Act, 1961.

Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF) strives to make India future-ready by making India more digitally aware and building an ecosystem of a cyber-safe India. Our mission is to provide a deep research and insight into new-age threats and strengthen Indian states, industries, institutes and society by knowledge sharing, capacity building, imparting skill and public outreach in the digital space. FCRF’s mission is to provide customised digital solutions to each section of the society.

Harshvardhan Singh

Co-Founder & Director

Harshvardhan Singh is a practising Advocate who serves as a Director at Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF). He graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and the Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, before pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Law & Cyber Forensics from the esteemed National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore. A familiar byline on the420.in, Harshvardhan specializes in probing topics like Cybercrimes, Corruption, and Technology. In addition to his professional pursuits, Harshvardhan nurtures a profound passion for Politics and Philosophy.

Shashank Shekhar

Director

With 17 years in journalism, Shashank Shekhar is an adept independent journalist recognized for his work with India’s leading media, governments, and law enforcement. Specializing in cybercrime, finance, security, technology, and more, he’s led and expanded news platforms from inception. He’s known for his investigative, financial, and cybercrime reporting, as well as political and environmental coverage. Notably, Shashank started The420.in, India’s pioneering bilingual Cyber Crime news portal, and co-founded the technology-focused NGO Future Crime Research Foundation, linked to IIT Kanpur. With an unblemished track record at prestigious outlets like India Today, Hindustan Times, and PTI, he blends news acumen with ethical journalism.
